People I would die to meet and talk to
There are a lot of books, movies, celebrities, songs, artists, and type of music nowadays. We all have a lot to choose from. Sometimes we pick a random new song to listen to and regret afterwards the 3 minutes and 45 seconds that we spent listening to it. But a lot of times, we are really going to find something we truly love. That’s why you can consider this post a sort of meme, you can try it out also in your blog. This is the “People I would die to meet and talk to” meme, and listed below are some of the people who have been most influential in my taste in music, books, and movies.
1. Brandon Boyd – this shouldn’t even be a question. He’s a genius. Great artist and musician, intellectual, funny, and sexy. Incubus is my all-time favorite band. Ever. I’ve stuck with them from their psychedelic rage-against-the-machine-wannabe phase, to the mellower sound of Morning View, to the more political pop sound of A Crow Left of the Murder, to their present sound similar to ACLOTM in Light Grenades. I’m a huge fan and have been to both of their concerts here in the Philippines, and it was awesome!
2. Johnny Depp – crazy as most of his roles are, he’s one of my favorite actors. Benny and Joon is one of my all-time favorite movies.
3. Gong Yoo – a Korean actor. I loved Coffee Prince (Korean series) where he plays the young manager who thought he was falling in love with a man (sort of gender bender really).
4. Takeshi Kaneshiro – Japanese/Chinese actor. I loved his portrayal in Chungking Express, another one of my all-time favorite movies.
5. Jerome David “J.D.” salinger – my favorite author. I read The Catcher in the Rye just recently and I immediately fell in love with everything about it. I think it should be on everyone’s list of “10 books to read before I die”.
6. Yoon Eun-Hye – the Korean star of Coffe Prince. She’s playing a boyish girl who disguises herself as a man to get a job at a coffee house. She’s stunning even with the short haircut, and I consider her one of the most beautiful faces we see today.
7. Kristin Kreuk – I like her because she’s also very beautiful, and not one of those who resolve to plastic surgery just to look different. Her beauty is natural. Plus I like her in Smallville.
8. Amanda Bynes – I laughed my ass off when I saw She’s the Man. The movie is based on Shakespeare’s comedy The Twelfth Knight, which I also love, and having seen it portrayed as a modern comedy (and a good one at that) is really nice. And she’s actually a good comedienne. Not overacting at all.
9. Alfred Hitchcock – I love classic movies. Alfred Hitchcock’s are twisted but they’re genius. I especially love Birds and Strangers on a Train.
10. George Peppard – Audrey Hepburn’s leading man in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. As I’ve said I love watching classic movies, and this is one of my favorite romantic comedy movie of all time. Nothing beats classic romance. His portrayal was very moving and realistic. I loved him there.
